The 12 Gods
Posca Pens on Wood
This piece depicts the Twelve Greek gods of Olympia. This piece was an exploration into new material and medium of POSCA paint pens on small wooden panels. Each wooden panel is cut and shaped to the good to most depict them. In this piece, hierarchy was important to me so to depict that the panels were all different sizes and were all laid out around Zeus as he is the God of gods. In this piece, I wanted to combine the older historic descriptions of the gods and goddesses with a more modern representation of them to show what they might look like if they existed now. The clash between the two worlds was something I was exploring heavily.
