The original concept for this piece was to create something with natural materials. I had a collection of shells from when I went to beaches when I was younger. Around this time the creatures that were depicted in Greek mythology was something I was really inspired by so the two idea clashes and came together. This piece depicts what is called a Hippocampus, one of my favourite Greek mythology creatures, it is a majestic half horse half fish. Through sculpting with shells connect to the sea creature multi ways.
